By fostering critical thinking, ethical awareness, and institutional readiness, AI-LITERATE empowers academic communities to engage with AI technologies responsibly and strengthens Europe’s capacity for informed and resilient higher education systems.

Research publications

In AI-Literate Project, we conduct studies, roundtables, and online evaluations to understand how the higher education community perceives and experiences generative AI. This research explores both the opportunities and potential risks associated with the adoption of GenAI in higher education. The findings will inform educators, institutions, and policymakers about effective and responsible ways to integrate AI technologies into teaching and learning.

Blended learning programme

The project develops a structured blended learning programme focused on generative AI and digital disinformation. It includes a 20-hour online course combining live and on-demand learning materials, followed by a 3-day intensive bootcamp. The programme helps higher education institutions embed AI literacy into their curricula and supports educators in developing the skills needed to navigate the evolving AI landscape.

Guideline

The project develops practical guidelines to support the responsible use of generative AI in higher education. These guidelines help institutions and educators adopt AI tools in ways that empower learners while addressing challenges such as digital disinformation and ethical use of technology.

Multimedia project

During the bootcamp, participants collaborate in a Media Lab to create multimedia projects such as videos, podcasts, interactive features, and social media campaigns. These projects translate learning into practice and contribute to the AI-LITERATE educational resources. They also support the project’s communication and dissemination efforts by showcasing practical approaches to addressing AI and disinformation in education.
